Universal Extractor ist, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, ein universelles Entpackprogramm. Es unterstützt eine Vielzahl an gängigen Archivformaten (ZIP, ACE, RAR, 7z), sogar das Entpacken von normalen Setup-exe-Dateien oder Inno-Setup und MSI-Installern ist möglich. Hier sind die meisten normalen Packprogramme überfordert. Universal Extractor kann jedoch ein normales Packprogramm trotz allem nicht ersetzen.
