Plays SVCDs and XSVCDs with the header trick (replacing mpeg-2 header by mpeg-1 header for luring the player and make it think it plays a VCD whereas it plays SVCDs perfectly !)

XSVCDs may cause problems on high bitrate scenes (the reading is slowed, blocks appear, the reading continues, until it goes back to normal afeter the high bitrate passage is passed)

Excellent quality image.
From what I've read, it can play some CD-Rs brands like Vivastar or Princo. Haven't tried yet, I only use Verbatim's or Taiyo Yuden's, sometimes Sony's.
