xVideoServiceThief lädt die Videos von über 50 Video-Portalen wie YouTube, Dailymotion, Google Video, Metacafe, MyVideo, 123video usw. auf ihre Festplatte. Normalerweise bieten diese Webseiten keine Möglichkeit zum Download der Videos, sondern der Film wird in einem speziellen Player, der in die Webseiten eingebaut ist, automatisch abgespielt. Möchte man dennoch interessante Videos auf die eigene Festplatte holen, erledigt dies xVideoServiceThief.

Kopieren sie einfach die URL der Webseite, auf der das Video angezeigt wird, in xVideoServiceThief und das Programm lädt den Film automatisch und problemlos aus dem Internet. Da es sich bei diesen Internet-Videos meist um Filme im FLV-Flash-Format handelt, das von vielen Mediaplayern nicht abgespielt werden kann, bietet ihnen xVideoServiceThief beim Download gleich die Option, einen Film ins AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4, 3GP oder MP3 Format umzuwandeln.
